	maybe you forgo to check the boxes to use either base textures or detail textures on the open land. I have no idea abou the trees, but if i try it again it works. and green can be a lot denser and slower!

	Pauls, you can edit everything in step 2 of the conversion process. Single trees are usualy gone after you shrink it, so at step to select the symbol, then set point to area and set it as vegetation of some sort, then change density to 15, you will have trees there. You can change everything like that.
