To make it better, I think you should change tree settings. Many people (including me) hate those standard trees (undergrouth in the yellow with white dots and pines). Also you could change textures (of the ground and the cliffs). If you find a nice balance "tree setting - groud texture", it will be great. And of course, turn off hitting trees
