A map from a sandy island somewhere in the Gulf of Botnia. Lichen covered ground and only pines. Terrain was formed from sand dunes when rising little by little (1m / 100 years) from the see - this area has been about 1500 years over see level.
I'm sure you can find a better groundtexture, this one was actually ugly. There is a lot of nice trees to use, so why are you using this old trees. Just go to "catchingfeatures.wordpress.com" and download them.

got disturbed before 16 and lost focus afterwards. Seems like a very interesting area in real life but you used to much random hight so some parts are quite random
Well - in the real terrain ground is covered by grey lichen - that's why this texture (see 'start image'). I haven't found better pines from standard trees so far - may be one day I do and may be I'll convert some fictive forrest and ground later but this map is not worth of it :)
